About Me
I am a Principal State Counsel at the Rivers State Ministry of Justice, Port Harcourt, Nigeria, with significant experience in litigation, public sector advisory, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), with particular emphasis on arbitration and mediation. My practice spans complex dispute resolution and high-level government advisory, with a focus on dispute management, policy development, and the structuring of sound legal and institutional frameworks.
I have advised notable ministries, agencies, and government parastatals on a broad range of complex legal issues, consistently adopting a practical and solution-driven approach to public law practice. My work is guided by a commitment to clarity, precision, and the delivery of effective legal solutions that advance good governance and institutional integrity.
Beyond my domestic practice, I am actively engaged within the international legal community through a range of cross-border professional roles. I served as National Representative Officer (Nigeria) of the International Bar Association (IBA), Young Lawyers Committee (2018–2021), and as Liaison Officer to the IBA African Regional Forum (2018–2020). I have also contributed as a Group Advisor under the Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration (Young ICCA) Mentoring Programme (2018–2019), as a member of the Symposium Organizing Team for the ADR Institute of British Columbia (ADRBC) Virtual Annual Symposium (6–7 June 2022), and as a Panelist at the Semi-Final Round of the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA) Nelson Mandela International Negotiation Virtual Competition (12–17 March 2022).
In addition to my practice, I maintain an active commitment to legal scholarship and thought leadership through editorial engagements. I currently serve as an Editorial Board Member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt Branch Journal (Maiden Edition) (2025 – till date) and the Rivers State Ministry of Justice Journal of Law and Practice (Maiden Edition) (2020 – till date), and previously served on the Editorial Board of the Madonna University Law Students’ Journal (Maiden Edition) (2012).
Outside my professional commitments, I maintain a keen interest in football and am an avid supporter of Arsenal Football Club.
